PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vegetable juice and/or a fruit beverage having slight viscosity and thereby easily taken.

SOLUTION: The vegetable juice and/or a fruit beverage contains alginic acid having a peak top molecular amount of ≥30 thousands but <40 thousands measured after heated by a gel-permeation chromatography method, or its salt.
