PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens device capable of easily changing the setting in a switching direction of an iris mode in accordance with photographer's idea and necessarily aligning the switching direction of the set iris mode with the display in the switching direction of a name plate. SOLUTION: The lens device 100 is equipped with: an iris mode switching means 110 selecting either a manual iris mode for manually operating an iris adjusting means 36 adjusting the quantity of light passing through an optical system or an automatic iris mode for automatically controlling the iris adjusting means 36 by moving between a first position, a second position and a third position; and a regulating member 120 attachably/detachably provided to cover over the periphery of the iris mode switching means 110 and capable of regulating the movable range of the iris mode switching means 110 at least between the first position and the second position or (2) between the second position and the third position.
