The invention is concerned with a temperature-controlled safety valve which serves especially as a thermal flow-off safeguard for service-water preparers of heating systems heated by solid fuels and which comprises a hydraulic temperature sensor (37) which, when its response temperature is reached, displaces the movable valve member (5) as a result of the expansion of its fluid filling and thereby opens the valve, the inflow (2) of which is to be connected to the service-water preparer. In order reliably to eliminate the risk that the service-water preparer will burst if temperatures which are too high are reached, two thermal flow-off safeguards having two hydraulic temperature sensors are provided. However, a failure of one or both systems as a result of a leak can scarcely be detected by the operator. According to the invention, therefore, the safety valve is to be improved in such a way that failures of the hydraulic system are nevertheless not detrimental to safety. For this purpose, an interlocked force accumulator (36) is provided for opening the valve, and the interlock (23, 33, 34, 44) is releasable as a result of a leak in the circuit of the hydraulic temperature sensor (37), and consequently the movable valve member (5) is displaceable in the opening direction by the force accumulator (36).
