In buses with a rear door, the space adjoining the rear door generally serves as a luggage space. In order also to be able to utilise this space for passengers, it is proposed according to the invention to provide a special seat structure there in which the underframe is a folding structure which grips a seat part and backrest part and can be locked in the two limit positions, which structure holds the passenger seat in the position of use in the one limit position and holds the seat part and backrest part in a position in which they are pushed vertically one over the other in the other limit position.
