AUTOMATED CLEANING EQUIPMENT AND METHOD FOR THE NUCLEAR FUEL-CLADDING TUBE

An apparatus and a method for automatically cleaning a nuclear fuel cladding tube are provided to maintain the cleaning degree at a high level by automatically checking the existence of residual cleaning material after cleaning of the nuclear fuel cladding tube. An apparatus for automatically cleaning a nuclear fuel cladding tube, includes a pre-cleaning loading unit(500), a first cleaning material supply unit(100) and a first cleaning unit(200), a second cleaning unit(250) and a second cleaning material supply unit(150), an inspection unit(300), and a post-cleaning loading unit(600). The pre-cleaning loading unit is arranged at one side of a transfer unit, and constituted by a nuclear fuel cladding tube guide in which the nuclear fuel cladding tube is loaded prior to cleaning. The first cleaning material supply unit and the first cleaning unit are arranged at a front surface of the transfer unit. The second cleaning unit and the second cleaning material supply unit are arranged at the front surface of the transfer unit beside the first cleaning unit. The inspection unit is arranged at the front surface of the transfer unit and a side surface of the second cleaning unit. The post-cleaning loading unit is arranged at the other side surface of the transfer unit, and constituted by the nuclear fuel cladding tube guide in which the nuclear fuel cladding tube is loaded after cleaning. The first cleaning material supply unit is arranged at the side surface of the first cleaning unit, and the second cleaning material supply unit is arranged at the side surface of the second cleaning unit.
