摘要 <p>A frame boundary detection method and apparatus for Reed-Solomon decoding in a DVB-H(Digital Video Broadcasting-Handheld) receiver and a method for decoding an MPE-FEC frame using the same are provided to recover an IP datagram and detect a frame boundary value to provide a user with broadcast data even when a boundary value of an MPE-FEC frame is not received so that an abnormal operation can be prevented. An MPE-FEC(Multiprotocol Encapsulation-Forward Error Correction) frame decoding method comprises the following steps. A packet identifier included in a received transport stream packet is filtered and broadcast service information is detected. A transport stream packet including section data is detected(1200). A section data type is checked by detecting a table identifier from header information of the received section data. A frame buffering process is performed. A counting process is performed during a time preset in maximum burst duration information(1201). It is detected whether the last MPE-FEC section has been received on the basis of frame boundary information(1202). An error-corrected IP(Internet Protocol) datagram is output using buffered Reed-Solomon data(1210).</p>
