Provided is a phase change ink, which is useful for an indirect printing process using an intermediate transfer member, is sprayed at a relatively low temperature with a reduced amount of energy requirement, and shows excellent color stability and thermal stability. The phase change ink comprises an ink carrier and a colorant, and is useful for an indirect printing process wherein the ink is sprayed onto a heated intermediate transfer member from a print head and then is transferred to a final recording substrate. The ink is sprayed from the printed head onto the intermediate transfer member at a temperature maintained at about 125 deg.C or less, is sprayed from a printer maintained at an ambient temperature of about 100 deg.C or less without any purging, and has a cohesion failure temperature of about 56 deg.C or higher.
