<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device in which an image on either a left or right screen is visible in a double-screen display mode even in a frontal view of the electro-optic device. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optic device 1 comprises: a light source 10, an image display liquid crystal panel 50 having pixels that display first and second images; a polarized light control liquid crystal panel 20 having a first polarized light control region 7a that polarizes the light emitting from the light source 10 into a first polarized light having a first polarization axis to exit and a second polarized light control region 7b that polarizes the light into a second polarized light having a second polarization axis to exit; and a lens 34 having a curved surface that makes the first polarized light from the first polarized light control region 7a exit in a first direction and makes the second polarized light from the second polarized light control region 7b exit in a second direction, wherein the width of the first polarized light control region 7a and the width of the second polarized light control region 7b differ from each other in a direction where the lens has the curved surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
