Disclosed is a method for manufacturing an organic light-emitting device which comprises an organic light-emitting element whose light-emitting layer can be composed not only of a solid light-emitting material but also of a liquid or semisolid light-emitting material. Also disclosed are an organic light-emitting device produced by such a manufacturing method and having good characteristics, and an electronic device having high reliability. Specifically disclosed is a display (organic light-emitting device) comprising a plurality of organic light-emitting elements (organic EL elements) each having a cathode, an electron transport layer, a light-emitting layer, a hole transport layer and an anode. This display is obtained by forming the organic EL elements by such a process wherein the anode and the hole transport layer are formed on an upper substrate and the cathode and the electron transport layer are formed on a TFT circuit substrate respectively by a liquid phase deposition method or a vapor phase deposition method, next the upper substrate and the TFT circuit substrate are bonded together so as to have a space between them, and then the light-emitting layer is formed by injecting a light-emitting material into the space.
