PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which has superior fixability, excels in charging performance, retains stable developing property/transferability from the initial stage to the end of printout on a large number of sheets, and can give stable images over a prolonged period of time. SOLUTION: Toner resin is used which is a copolymer containing at least a sulfonic ester group-containing unit A, having a specific structure, a unit B having a carboxyl group and a unit C that is derived from aromatic vinyl monomer.
