PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manhole installed underground, safely and positively prevented from being lifted toward above the ground by a liquefaction phenomenon in case of an earthquake. SOLUTION: This lift preventing manhole formed by combining the required number of cylindrical wall body blocks vertically with a pipe mounting skeleton provided with pipe connection ports on the inflow side and outflow side, is composed of fixing metal fittings installed at a plurality of parts on the outer peripheral surfaces of the pipe mounting skeleton and wall body blocks, and a plurality of lift preventing members mounted to the fixing metal fittings to project radially from the external wall of the manhole.
