PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inner deck mounting mechanism for a passenger conveyor, capable of improving reliability of an inner deck mounting state, shortening time required for removal/mounting operation of an inner deck during maintenance work etc. and improving work efficiency. SOLUTION: This inner deck mounting mechanism for the passenger conveyor is provided with: a plurality of hook-shaped engagement tools 24 mounted on the back face of the inner deck along the moving direction of steps at predetermined intervals; lock bodies 33 arranged inside a clearance between a lower part of a balustrade panel and a skirt guard so as to oppose to the hook-shaped engagement tools 24 and horizontally movable by being pressed by the hook-shaped engagement tools 24; an energizing means 34 provided in the lock bodies 33 and energizing the lock bodies 33 in the direction of engaging with the hook-shaped engagement tools 24 by the energizing force; engagement release holes formed in positions opposing to the lock bodies 33 so as to penetrate through the inner deck; and engagement release members inserted into the engagement release holes and releasing engagement of the hook-shaped engagement tools 24 with the lock bodies 33 by pressing the lock bodies 33.
