PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electronic component in which a terminal is firmly fixed on an insulation substrate and the terminal is hardly come off in manual soldering or repair. SOLUTION: The electric component has: a rectangular insulation substrate 1 made of the ceramic material and having a resistor 2 formed on its surface; and the metallic terminal 4 fixed on the insulation substrate 1. Convex engaging edge portions 1e are provided on one side mutually opposite surfaces 1d of the insulation substrate 1. The terminal 4 has a bottom plate 4a and first and second leg portions 4b, 4c bent and erected on the bottom plate 4a. The terminal 4 is fixed so that the bottom plate 4a is positioned on the bottom plate 1b of the insulation substrate 1, the end of the first leg 4b is bent toward the surface side 1a of the insulation substrate 1 and conduction-connected to an electrode 3, and the end of the second leg 4c is linearly arranged so as to be positioned on the side surface 1d of the insulation substrate 1 in a state where the second leg 4c can be engaged with the engaging edge portions 1e, and mounted on the insulation substrate 1.
