PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device for temporarily stopping alarm generation by performing a certain operation, and also for enabling a user to select the time period of the temporary stop of the alarm generation in response to a situation at that time when alarm generation from the device is a false one, or when safety is secured. SOLUTION: An alarm device for detecting an abnormal state to generate an alarm and also for temporarily stopping the alarm generation by a stop operation to an operation unit comprises: a storage unit 2 with a plurality of stop time periods differing from one another in length; and a control unit 1 for selecting a stop time period out of the plurality of stop time periods to temporarily stop the announcing over the selected stop time period, based on the stop operation.
