摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for a printing plate in which etching properties and uniformity in the electrolytically roughened face are excellent, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy sheet comprises, by mass, 0.03 to 0.15% Si, 0.25 to 0.50% Fe, 0.005 to 0.040% Ti and 0.01 to 0.10% Mn, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. Among intermetallic compounds present on the surface of the aluminum alloy sheet, the piece number of the intermetallic compounds with the maximum length of 1 to 10μm is 3,000 to 8,000 pieces/mm<SP>2</SP>, and also, the piece number of the intermetallic compounds with the maximum length of <1μm is≥2,000,000 pieces/mm<SP>2</SP>. The production method includes: a stage where a cast ingot is subjected to homogenizing heat treatment at 400 to <500°C; and a stage where the cast ingot subjected to the homogenizing heat treatment is subjected to hot rolling at a rolling starting temperature of 370 to <430°C, and is further subjected to cold rolling.
