<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a tomosynthesis projection image Tp and/or a tomosynthesis reconstructed image Tr more effective and to facilitate displaying both types of images, tomosynthesis projection image Tp and 2D mammogram Mp. <P>SOLUTION: A sub-set of Tp images acquired to form a tomosynthesis image Tr is used. In the displayed image, concurrent viewing, respective label marks to identify the image as an Mp, Tr, or Tp image are showed near thereby and a combined image of selected Mp, Tr, and Tp images is displayed. Furthermore, a computer aided detection (CAD) mark is generated to a suspected abnormality in the MP image and the mark is displayed at a position corresponding to that on the Tr image relating respective Mp images by orientation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
