PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger with the improved durability of a brazing part to a header tank of a heat exchange tube. SOLUTION: The header tank 2 is composed by laminating and brazing a header part forming plate 7, a tube connection plate 8, and an intermediate plate 9. A communication hole 22 making each tube insertion hole 18 of the tube connection plate communicate with an outward swelling part 11B of the header part forming plate 7 is formed in a piercing state in the intermediate plate 9. A shoulder 25 protruding into the communication hole 22 and abutting on the end face of the heat exchanger tube 4 is formed on the inner circumference face of the communication hole 22 of the intermediate plate 9. In a state of inserting both ends of the heat exchanger tube 4 into the tube insertion hole 18 of the pipe connection plate 8 and the communication hole 22 of the intermediate plate 9, and abutting its end face on the shoulder part 25, both end outer circumference faces of the heat exchange tube 4 are brazed to the tube insertion hole 18 of the tube connection plate 8 and the inner circumference face of the communication hole 22 of the intermediate plate 9.
