PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining structure and a joining method of a member without exposing a joining metallic material to the outside by joining two members via the joining metallic material in a state of bringing mutual end surface into close contact with each other. SOLUTION: In this joining structure, a first engaging metallic material 3 and a second engaging metallic material 4 of the joining metallic material 2 are respectively engaged with first engaging grooves 14a and 16a and second engaging grooves 15a and 17a respectively formed on the end surfaces 11a and 12a of the two members 11 and 12. The mutual end surfaces 11a and 12a are butted in a state of storing a shaft part 5 in a shaft storage part 18. Both can be joined in a state of drawing the mutual end surfaces 11a and 12a of the two members 11 and 12 by drawing the mutual first and second engaging metallic materials 3 and 4 by rotating the shaft part by inserting a tool from a hole 20.
