<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode for a lithium-ion secondary battery, and its manufacturing method, with improved cycle characteristics and discharge capacity, with the use of low-cost lithium manganate. <P>SOLUTION: The blended lithium manganate substance of a composition formula: Li<SB>x</SB>Mn<SB>y</SB>O<SB>4</SB>used as a cathode active material for the lithium-ion secondary battery is improved in a charge/discharge capacity and cycle characteristics, as two or more kinds of lithium manganate particles with different composition ratios x:y, after being primarily baked, are pulverized, blended, and secondarily baked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
