PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the appearance from degrading by indoor wiring of an optical fiber, and to overcome such risk as damage on the optical fiber. SOLUTION: A composite tube that connects an indoor unit to an outdoor unit contains a communication path (for example, optical fiber, coaxial line, Ethernet line, or the like). So, when an air conditioner is installed, a communication path is assured for connecting indoor with outdoor. Further, the indoor unit or outdoor unit incorporates a modem device while the indoor unit incorporates a wireless communication device such as wireless LAN, to minimize indoor/outdoor wirings and to overcome such risk as degradation of appearance or damage.
