PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound signal output apparatus in which a volume attenuating control unit has a fade-in control means for performing fade-in control so that temporarily controlled volume may be gradually increased as predetermined time volume control. SOLUTION: The apparatus has an external output terminal; an internal output terminal; a detector for detecting terminal connection of the external output terminal; a switch for switching a destination of output of a sound signal between the external output terminal and the external output terminal, depending on a result of detection of the terminal connection; and a volume attenuation control unit for controlling the attenuation of volume for a predetermined time, by controlling the sound signal to be input into any one of the terminals for a predetermined time in response to switching.
