摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detector capable of eliminating fluctuation error of an ultrasonic signal resulting from a contact state of a flaw detection probe and an inspected object and improving the reliability of the inspection. SOLUTION: Strain gauges 105a, 105b and 105c convert occurring variation of stress into variation of resistance. Detecting sections 208a, 208b and 208c detect the variation of this resistance, and convert it into a voltage signal. Comparing sections 209a, 209b and 209c compare a preset threshold with the voltage value, and convert the voltage signal into a binary digital signal. A control section 210 determines whether the contact state of the flaw detection probe 1 with the inspected object 3 is sufficient or not, based on the binary digital signal input from the comparing sections 209a, 209b and 209c, and performs display/output control of warning, ON/OFF control of ultrasonic transmission/reception, or the like, based on the determination result, thereby controlling operation of each part of the ultrasonic flaw detector.
