PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shower bathing apparatus for quickly bringing the inside of a housing body to a temperature comfortable for a user without making a user feel cold in the initial period of a shower and preventing the user from getting dizzy by steam and hot water exceeding the comfortable temperature. SOLUTION: The shower bathing apparatus comprises the housing body capable of housing the body of a user in a prescribed bathing posture, a plurality of hot water jetting ports 121-124 attached to the inner peripheral part of the housing body, a hot water flow path 145 for supplying the hot water to the hot water jetting ports, a cold water flow path 146 for supplying cold water to the housing body, at least one or more cold water jetting ports 111 for jetting the cold water supplied from the cold water flow path to the inside of the housing body, a temperature detection means 131 for detecting the temperature inside the housing body, and a stop valve 143 for opening and closing the cold water flow path. By opening the stop valve on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature detection means, the cold water flowing through the cold water flow path is jetted from the cold water jetting ports into the housing body.
