<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for performing maintenance of a belt cleaner in space saving by enhancing rigidity of a body. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises the body 91 having a door 50 on one side 93, and an intermediate transfer belt unit 40 mounted detachably in a horizontal direction to the body 91 through an opening made by the door 50. The intermediate transfer belt unit 40 has a pair of frames 41 and 41, an intermediate transfer belt 14 wound so as to surround a pair of rollers, and the belt cleaner 15 mounted between ends arranged on an opposite side to one side 93. The image forming apparatus is provided with an opening 98 having a size corresponding to the size of the end arranged with the belt cleaner 15 of the intermediate transfer belt unit 40 on an opposite side 94 of one side 93 of the body 91. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
