PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which is continuously operated when an outside air temperature lowers in the night without frequently switching on/off a compressor, and achieves a comfortable sleeping environment by controlling sudden change of indoor humidity. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for performing a reheating dehumidifying operation for heating the indoor air by a first indoor heat exchanger, and cooling the indoor air by a second indoor heat exchanger, has a sleeping mode control means for controlling a room temperature change characteristic curve to have a gradual decrease area where an indoor temperature is temporarily gradually decreased from a user set temperature, and a gradual increase area where the indoor temperature is gradually increased thereafter, in a cooling operation. The sleeping mode operation control means has an operation switch control pattern for performing the cooling operation in the gradual decrease area and switching the cooling operation to the reheating dehumidifying operation in starting the control of the gradual increase area.
