Methods and agents are disclosed for modulating the interaction of ß-catenin or ?-catenin with CBP or p300. Agents that increase the binding of CBP to ß-catenin are associated with enhancing the ß-catenin related proliferation of adult stem cells, including hematopoietic stem cells, neural stem cells, skin stem cells, and pancreatic stem cells, as well as embryonic stem cells. |
