The sensor has a substrate (1) on which a resistor network and a contact structure, which is assigned to the network, are arranged. A metallic cover covers the network and the structure, and a permanent magnet operates the structure. An electrically conducting contact surface (13) is arranged on the substrate and is connected with electrically conducting parts of a filling level indicator and with a ground (15) of the level sensor in an electrically conducting manner. The surface (13) is arranged on a side facing the cover in an area of a joint of the cover with the substrate.
