Binding agent for mineral wool comprises an aqueous dispersion of at least a polymer polycarboxylic acid; at least an amine compound (I) and an active silane obtained by reacting silane with an enolic 3-12C-ketone with carbonyl or hydroxy group. Binding agent for mineral wool comprises an aqueous dispersion of at least a polymer polycarboxylic acid; at least an amine compound of formula (I) with a molecular weight of not over 20000 g/mol; and an active silane, which is obtained by reacting silane (such as mono-, di- and tri- 1-8C-alkoxysilane with at least 2-10C-aminoalkyl or 2-10C-N-aminoalkyl group, 3-(2-aminoethylamino)propyl trimethoxysilane, bis-(3-trimethoxysilanyl-propyl)-amine, 3-aminopropylsilane triol, aminosilane with ethoxylated nonylphenolate and/or N-benzyl-N'-(3-trimethoxysilyl-propyl)-propane-1,3-diamine hydrochloride), with an enolic 3-12C-ketone with carbonyl or hydroxy group.
