<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup element which is satisfactory in color balance and color reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The image pickup element 10 is provided with a substrate 11, a plurality of light receiving elements 12 formed on the substrate 11 and a transparent filter 14W, a yellow filter 14Y and a red filter 14R formed so as to be adjacent to each other on each of the light receiving elements 12.
