PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a model not supporting a TIFF-FX(TFX) file format cannot receive the TIFF-FX file format as a not supported file format though transmission not in a TIFF format but in the TIFF-FX format is spreading in order to explicitly show color IFax transmission. SOLUTION: A user is enabled to select transmission in the TIFF file format or the TIFF-FX file format when a color document will be transmitted by Internet Fax, and the color document is transmitted in an appropriate format in accordance with a use environment of the user.
