PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve production efficiency of display panels and reduction of discharged heat quantity at the calcination process. SOLUTION: An end part of a ceramic roller R1 which is a component of a roller conveyer V1 placed in a calcining furnace F1 is projected outside from the inside of the calcining furnace F1. It carries a plurality of glass substrates P arranged perpendicularly to the conveyance direction on a setter S1 with their longer directions parallel to the conveyance direction into the calcining furnace F1 by the roller conveyer V1 along with the setter S1 and the glass substrates P are heated and calcinated in the calcining furnace F1.
