AN AERIAL PLATFORM INCLUDES A SUPPORT FRAME CAPABLE OF TRANSLATIONAL MOTION WITH RESPECT TO THE GROUND, AND CARRIES, IN AN ESSENTIALLY VERTICAL POSITION, A LIFTING ARM THANKS TO A LOOSE CONNECTION WHICH ENABLES FULL ROTATION AROUND ITS VERTICAL AXLE CORRESPONDING TO THE HORIZONTAL AXLE OF THE LOOSE CONNECTION. THE LIFTING ARM IS ALSO CONNECTED TO THE FRAME BY A HYDRAULIC JACK. THE LIFTING ARM SUPPORTS A PLATFORM, THE BASE OF WHICH HAS A CENTRAL HOLE, AND IS COMPRISED OF A FIXED PART AND TWO MOVING PARTS CAPABLE OF TRANSLATING BY MEANS OF HYDRAULIC COMMAND, INTO A HORIZONTAL FLOOR JUST BELOW THE FLOOR OF THE FIXED PART. IN THIS WAY IT MOVES LIKE A JAW AROUND THE TRUNK OF A TREE. THE PLATFORM IS EQUIPPED WITH ELASTIC DEVICES FOR ENGAGING THE TRUNK OF THE TREE. THEY ARE SET OUT RADIALLY CORRESPONDING WITH THE OPENING IN THE BASE AND EXTEND TOWARDS THE TRUNK TO FACILITATE THE RAISING OF THE PLATFORM.
