<p>The method involves identifying a time slot in which a medium is accessible within a terminal, and transmitting settings for recording the medium to a player-recorder using a digital link between the terminal and the player-recorder. The medium is transmitted to the player-recorder for a real-time recording by the player-recorder, and is transmitted via a media link separate from the link for transmission of the settings, where the identified time slot involves a programming of the recording using an electronic program guide within the terminal. An independent claim is also included for a system for recording a medium from a terminal receiving multimedia signals comprising a unit for identifying a time slot.</p> |
