PURPOSE:To shorten the storage time of diagnostic data to a magnetic disk device to be diagnosed by performing processing wherein data to be read out of one first-in first-out memory and sent out is transferred to and written in the other first-in first-out memory for each first-in first-out memory. CONSTITUTION:The first-in first-out memories 1 and 2 are so constituted that the writing of data to one first-in first-out memory (e.g. first-in first-out memory 1) and the reading and sending of data stored in the other first-in first-out memory (e.g. first-in first-out memory 2) are performed alternately in parallel. A transfer storage means 100 performs the processing wherein data to be read out of one first-in first-out memory (e.g. first-in first-out memory 1) and sent out is transferred to and written in the other first-in first-out memory (e.g. first-in first-out memory 2) for both the first-in first-out memories 1 and 2. Consequently, data can be supplied from both the first-in first-out memories 1 and 2 continuously and the supply time of the data is shortened greatly. |
