<p>PURPOSE:To provide a metal working oil compsn. contg. a lubricating oil component such as oil or fat and a specified water-sol. macromolecular compd., which is useful in high-speed metal working, has excellent lubricating properties and undergoes little change with time. CONSTITUTION:The metal working oil compsn. Contains as essential ingredients a lubricating oil component such s oil or fat and a water-sol. macromelecular compd. The water-sol. compd. consists of (A) a(co) polymer of a monomer of formulas I -IV or salt thereof (where R1 is H or CH3;R2 and R3 are 1-3C alkyl; m' and n' are each 1-3;R4 is H or 1-3C alkyl and m<2> and n<2> are each 0-3) or (B) a copolymer of a monomer of formulas I -IV or salt thereof with a monomer selected from among those of formulas V-IX or salt thereof (where A is O or NH), ethyleneimine, alpha,beta-unsatd. carboxylic acid (salt), acrylonitrile, etc.</p> |
