METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR COILING THIN METALLIC STRIP, NAMELY HOT- OR COLD-ROLLED THIN STEEL STRIP (VARIANTS)

FIELD: variants of method and apparatus for coiling thin metallic strip, namely hot- or cold-rolled thin steel strip onto controlled-diameter drum. ^ SUBSTANCE: at first inner turns of strip are coiled onto predetermined diameter of drum and after final coiling of coil, drum is removed or coil is taken out. According to first variant of method in one or in several mutually adjacent inner turns along their periphery at rotation one or several shaped protrusions or shaped recesses are formed. According to second variant of method first inner turn is joined along plane with second inner turn due to adding cement, filler, metallic bodies, adhesion composition and so on into space between said inner turns. According to third variant at coiling clockwise strip lead end is positioned in angular range of 7 - 10 hours and at coiling counter-clockwise strip lead end is positioned in range 2 - 5 hours in central opening of coil. Then coil is removed from coiling drum and tail end of strip is positioned in angular range less 270°. Different variants of apparatus are offered for each variant of method. ^ EFFECT: prevention of turns separation one from other in central opening of coil due to reinforcing turns. ^ 29 cl, 8 dwg
