The proposed synchronous generator contains a casing, a stator with a stator winding and an excitation winding, an exciter, and an auxiliary generator. The terminals of the armature winding of the exciter are connected to the terminals of the excitation winding of the synchronous generator via rotary rectifying elements. The terminals of the armature winding of the auxiliary generator are connected to the terminals of the excitation winding of the exciter via a rectifier.
