PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recording photographing before completion of disk management processing of a disk medium. SOLUTION: The video camera is provided with a first recording and reproducing means and a second recording and reproducing means corresponding to two recording media respectively, an imaging means outputting video data to respective recording and reproducing means, and a control means controlling these means, wherein control is performed so that video data is recorded intermittently by the second recording and reproducing means, and disk management processing by the first recording and reproducing means is performed in the intervals of the recording processing.
