<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source system for remarkably reducing light power. <P>SOLUTION: The light source system (100A) includes a beam light source (102) for generating a first incident light beam (104) comprising a first beam component (106A) and a second beam component (106B). The first beam component has first straight line polarization and a first frequency. The second beam component has second straight line polarization and a second frequency. The first straight line polarization and the second straight line polarization are orthogonal. An anisotropic acoustic-optical modulator (AOM) (108) is arranged so as to receive a first incident beam. (AOM) changes polarization and a frequency of the first and second beam components in response to a control signal.
