PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein an empty state of a water supply tank cannot be properly detected on the basis of a detected temperature after water supply, as the detected temperature by an infrared ray sensor is affected by cold air when the cold air in an ice making compartment is supplied to the water in an ice tray to increase an ice making speed when the temperature of water (ice) in the ice tray is detected by the infrared ray sensor, though the temperature can be stably detected when a temperature sensor is disposed on a rear face of the ice tray as found in a conventional case. SOLUTION: In the refrigerator/freezer comprising the automatic ice making machine 7 detecting completion of ice making by monitoring the temperature in the ice tray by the infrared ray sensor (non-contact sensor), an air distribution fan for supplying the cold air to a freezing temperature zone-compartment (ice making compartment) provided with the automatic ice making machine 7, is switched off when the water is supplied to the ice tray 7B as shown in Fig. 2.
