摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus which is downsized, especially in thickness. SOLUTION: A discharge tube 14 is pressed against a side wall 22 of a housing case 12 on which an aperture 12a is formed with a pressing member 71 to push and fix a globe 13 onto the side wall 22 of the housing case 12 with the aperture 12a through a spacer 41. Unlike in the case of fixing the globe 13 and the discharge tube 14 separately to the housing case 12, it is not necessary to assure a storage space for a component which fixes the globe 13 in the housing case 12, then it can be downsized. Especially, by making good use of the flat characteristic of the discharge tube 14, adoption of the structure in which the globe 13 is pressed and fixed to the housing case 12 by the discharge tube reduces the thickness of the lighting apparatus 11 with taking advantages of thinness of the tube 14.
