<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable phase-shifting voltage regulator which can freely regulate voltage at each phase into a voltage of a desired phase and size, using a transformer. <P>SOLUTION: An arbitrary phase voltage vector and a composite phase voltage vector from other two phases in a three-phase circuit are composed to a pair of composite vector. Similarly, other two phases voltage vectors are combined with composite phase voltage vectors obtained from other two sets of paired phase voltage vectors. Those three sets of paired composite phase voltage vectors are configured in proportion to the original three-phase vector. The composite three-phase paired vectors are connected to the input terminal of an exciting transformer having tap winding, the output terminal of the exciting transformer is connected to the input terminal of a series transformer having tap winding, and the output terminal of the series transformer is connected in series to the three-phase circuit. Consequently, the phase and the magnitude of the three-phase circuit are adjusted to obtain a predetermined phase-shifted three-phase voltage, by setting the excitation and the tap winding ratio of the series transformer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
