PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for automatically outputting voice by recognizing a character such as a book, a magazine, a newspaper and a printed product. SOLUTION: This system has a body 1 for acquiring character image information data by tracing or sliding on a character recorded on the book 3 and a character storing/recognizing vocalization device 7 incorporated with a storage recognition control part 7a for converting recognizing character information data into voice data by outputting the recognizing character information data corresponding to image information data acquired by the body 1 from prestored character information data and a voice generation reproducing part 7b for vocalizing and reproducing as voice by outputting the voice data from the storage recognition control part 7a.
