<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for removal of a coating which can improve the efficiency of removing a metal coating from the surface of an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The device and method are for removal of a metal coating from an optical disk having a metal film on the surface of a resin material. The method includes a carrying process of carrying an optical disk with a carrying mechanism and a high-pressure water spraying process of spraying high-pressure water on the metal film of the optical disk being carried with the carrying mechanism, from two or more nozzles arranged almost linearly. Taking the maximum distance as j among those between adjacent two of the nozzles, the high-pressure water is sprayed so that the moving trajectories of the nozzles become circular with a radius of≥j/2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
