PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device, implementing both weight reduction/compactification and high stiffness of a device, preventing the occurrence of a ball flaw in assembly, improving acoustic characteristics, and elongating service life. SOLUTION: The wheel bearing device is constituted of a double row angular contact ball bearing integrally provided with a wheel mounting flange 6 at one end part thereof. A pitch diameter PCDo of balls 3 on an outer side out of a double row balls 3, 3 is set to be larger than a pitch diameter PCDi of the balls 3 on an inner side, an outer diameter of all of the double row balls 3 is the same, the number of the balls 3 on the outer side is larger than that on the inner side, and corner parts A to C on an outer peripheral face of a hub ring 4 are chamfered and formed in smooth circular arcs. Therefore, the occurrence of the ball flaw in assembly is suppressed to improve the acoustic characteristics of the bearing, the stiffness is enhanced, and the service life is elongated.
