PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aid for enabling even handicapped persons to put-on or take off hosiery for themselves. SOLUTION: The aid is composed of a slender gripper plate having a length to reach the opening part of hosiery worn by the user with his/her knees stretched at the tip end of its operating side with its other end located at a position where it can be operated manually, and an operating plate provided to form a clamping part capable of clamping the opening part of the hosiery by means of a clamping mechanism from outside the tip end of the operating side.
