A controllable semi-conductor rectifier is mounted in a hermetically sealed casing in which the control electrode connecting wire is connected to a metal tube closed at one end and communicating with the sealed interior of the casing. In the embodiment the controllable semi-conductor element 10 is connected by a flexible stranded cable 8 to a bored connecting bolt 3 which houses a metal tube 5 supported on an insulating tube 6 and sealed at 5a to the control-electrode conductor 4. The casing is completed by a ceramic tube 2 and the tube 5 may serve as a contact pin for a plug socket mounted on the connecting bolt and may be used as a pump connection. |
