<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality information collecting system and a method capable of efficiently and accurately collecting information about troubles that occur in the process of manufacturing a product, while contributing to providing early drastic solutions to the troubles. <P>SOLUTION: The quality information collecting system for collecting information about troubles that occur in the process of manufacturing a product includes: an ID information recording part 5 provided in a component included in the product for recording ID information for identifying the product or the component; a mobile information terminal 6; and an information processor 7. Also, the mobile information terminal 6 has a reading means 8 for reading the ID information from the ID information recording part 5 and a selecting means 9 for selecting certain items from a plurality of items about the troubles.
