<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission device and an electron emission display capable of controlling electron beam focusing separately in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction of a screen face for improvement of electron beam focusing efficiency and display quality. <P>SOLUTION: This electron emission device includes a substrate, an electron emission part formed on the substrate, a drive electrode formed on the substrate for controlling electron emission from the electron emission part, and a focusing electrode, which is positioned above the drive electrode to be insulated from it and provided with an opening part for allowing passage of electron beams. The focusing electrode includes at least two focusing parts electrically separated from each other, and the two focusing parts focus electron beams from the mutually different directions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
