PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of failure of washing by position-deviation of a vessel, i.e., an object to be washed and a nozzle for injecting a washing liquid toward it in an apparatus for washing the vessel. SOLUTION: A washing conveyor 20 conveys the vessel 10 while clamping a side surface of the vessel 10. A starwheel 60 gives the vessel 10 from an introduction conveyor 110 to the washing conveyor 20. A washing unit injects the washing liquid from the injection nozzle toward the vessel 10 while being moved with the vessel 10 conveyed by the washing conveyor 20. A sensor detects a position relationship of the vessel 10 conveyed by the washing conveyor 20 and the injection nozzle. A starwheel adjustment part 70 adjusts a position relationship of the vessel 10 conveyed by the washing conveyor 20 and the injection nozzle by controlling a drive mechanism 65 for driving the starwheel 60 from the position relationship detected by the sensor.
